Lyme, CT indie trio The Brazen Youth is made up of musicians Nicholas Lussier, Charles Dahlke, and Micah Rubin. Together, they make accessible yet elaborate alternative augmented with classical instrumentation and soft pop sensibility.

Recently, the band has announced their new album, 15 Billion Eyes, and have shared the first single “I Don’t Wanna Take Too Much.” It is their first album since 2018’s Primitive Initiative.

“I Don’t Wanna Take Too Much” continues the growth seen on Primitive Initiative. While the band always sounded wise beyond their years, they still channeled that energy in youthful, anthemic rock crescendos. In contrast, with its soulful vocal performance and Beatlesque hooks, this new track very much sounds like the work of world-weary veteran musicians with a more subtle, indoor energy.

The Brazen Youth will be playing The Kate in Old Saybrook on July 26th before they go on tour later this year. Event page here.

15 Billion Eyes arrives on September 19th.  Stream “I Don’t Wanna Take Too Much” by The Brazen Youth below:
