Seattle indie elder statesmen Death Cab for Cutie have been touring the U.S. for most of 2019, recently bringing songstress Jenny Lewis on the current leg of their tour.
As one might be aware, Jenny Lewis was bandmates with DCFC’s Ben Gibbard in The Postal Service, a one-off side project with Jimmy Tamborello of Dntel, whose only album, Give Up, became an unlikely immediate classic at the beginning of the aughts that traded indie-guitars for turntables, beats, and midi strings.
Since then, Lewis and Gibbard have been treating audiences at Death Cab’s latest shows with a cover of The Postal Service’s classic “Nothing Better”. Last night, at College Street Music Hall in New Haven, the pair covered it again. Check it out below via Manic Presents:
