Pleasure Beat
Pleasure Beat – East Rock, New Haven

New Haven based indie pop band Pleasure Beach have rebranded as Pleasure Beat (presumably as there are probably a few less deliberately catchy Pleasure Beach bands out there) and have released two new songs: “Hard Feelings” and “(Runnin’ From The) Changes”, out via Contemporary Adult Recordings.

While the previous singles from Pleasure Beat wore their penchant for 80s indie music on their collective sleeve, these two new songs show a deliberate signal of expanding pop sensibilities to other realms, resulting in a promising new (re)introduction to the band.

The new songs by Pleasure Beat were recorded at Silver Bullet Studios in Burlington, CT, produced by The Sinclairs, engineered by Greg Thomas, and mixed by Greg Thomas and Chris Teti of The World is a Beautiful Place and I am No Longer Afraid to Die.
