Western MA / Central CT band Wore makes melodic emo music that leans toward heavier, more punk-ish aspects of the genre.

Since 2017, the band has been steadily issuing new singles via CT-based label Darth Fader Records ahead of their inevitable debut release. Last year, the band put out the Different Houses cassette (featuring “Bleached” and “Ultraviolet”) that got some strong buzz from Substream, Alternative Press, and New Noise.

Recently, the four-piece has issued their darker and heavier new single “Devil”, accompanied by a DIY music video of the band’s performance. According to singer-guitarist Josh Roy, “The song is essentially your mental state after the death of someone important to you. I wrote it to have so many meanings because it can go multiple ways for various people. I always intended the title devil to be addressed to the “you” in the song so you can take it however you’d like.”

Wore will be playing The Cave in West Haven on June 14th with Young & Heartless and Blue Heaven. Even page here.
