Pearl Sugar Shares Introspective New Music Video: Stream

Hartford synth pop act Pearl Sugar just shared a music video for the title track off his upcoming Alright EP. The peculiar yet extremely fitting video takes place in Bugnacki’s dark apartment and was filmed solely with an iPhone (by Andrew Baldis and Bugnacki himself). This is as DIY as it gets, people.

As the contemplative chorus repeats “Am I doing alright? Am I doing okay?” we watch Bugnacki sprawled out on the floor, fiddling with his hoodie by a trashcan, and half-dead playing a keyboard. There is a certain numbness to his character that is eerily relatable. Makes one ask themselves the same questions.

Pearl Sugar is releasing their debut EP Alright on April 27th. That same day, they are celebrating with a full-band show at Parkville Studios, featuring Chad Browne-Springer and Namesake.
