New Haven, CT based Quietly is the dream pop project of Cassie Bozicek. Under this moniker, she makes music that mixes ethereal, ambient soundscapes with electronic beats and soft urban goth overtones.
This week, Quietly has released a new album Aestivation, her first since 2015’s self-titled album.
The only explicit details this writer can find about the record are found on Quietly’s Bandcamp: “sleep as a method of survival attracts unwarranted dreams from deep inside a neglected subconscious.” Listening to the record, one can empathize.
